Retriever Club Of Greece's 1st Club Show - Greece

On the 23rd of November, the Retriever Club Of Greece held the 1st Specialty Show under the famous British judge Mr. Frank Kane, and with the sponsor of Purina Pro Plan. The show was held in a beautiful place in Lagonissi, next to the beach, and under a big tent, in case of a rain. However the weather was very good on that day.
The Club set for the Best Male & Female of each breed the title Retriever Club Of Greece Winner '03(RCG-W'03) that will follow the names of the winners from now on. The Retrievers in order to become champions have to gain 3 CACs - the one of them in a Club show, and the Working test EEIP. Two New Greek Champions made up on the day.
In Goldens the Best Of Breed Winner was a greek bred bitch that came from the Champion Class, Gr.Ch.Serendipity April Shadow of Your Smile (Gr.Cyp.Ch.Hayjoy Duster X Gr.Ch.Shanlimore Kamilla) , who is owned by Miss Annetta Michael and her breeder Mrs. Alexia Kammenou. Best Male & Best Opposite Sex was the winner of the big open male class, Tap To Rhythm of Glen Sheallag (Swed.Ch.Ashbury Please Tell Me X Gr.Ch.Ossien Of Glen Sheallag), owned by Mrs. Alexia Kammenou and bred in France by Mrs. Marie-Noelle Terlinden & Mr. Bernard Chauveau. The president of the Retriever Club Mrs. Kammenou, awarded a trophy to the Best Golden Bitch, dedicated to the breeder & beloved friend Mrs. Marie Noelle Terlinden.
In Labradors both winners are greek bred dogs. Best Of Breed was again from the Champion Female Class, Gr.Ch.Agapi Of New Utopia Versus New Order (Heatherbourne Royal Jelly X Ursula Of Sweetheartfellows), bred by Mrs. Katsouli Maria, owned by Ms. Marini Georgia, that did a strong comeback in rings, after few months break she had, due to whelp. Best Opposite Sex was a beautiful chocolate male, James Brown ( Sheenaron Merry Admiral X Shadowsquad Bijou D'Inde), bred by Mr. Voukakis and owned by Mr. Gianni Sikoutris.
In Flat Coated Retrievers the winners were owned by Mr. Kostas Kokkinakis & Mrs. Alexia Kammenou, and both bred by Mrs. Terlinden & Mr. Chauveau. Best Male & Best Of Breed was a great show dog, who won many prestigious prices in his career in Europe & Greece, BJW.WJW.BW.Lux.Sp.Nor.Bel.Gr.Ch.Sundew Shag Of Glen Sheallag ( Int.Lux.Fr.Ch.Branchalwood Lochdush X Sp.Ch.Branchalwood Arleen). Best Opposite Sex was the stylish bitch, Spring Time Of Glen Sheallag ( Cariena's Fourty One Four X Orient Pearl Of Glen Sheallag).
At the Finals, Best Brace in Show were Eur.W'02 Tearlach Of Glen Sheallag & Thunderbolt Of Glen Sheallag, and reserve Gr.Ch.Shanlimore Kamilla & Gr.Ch.Serendipity April Shadow Of Your Smile. At the Breeders stakes, 1st was the SERENDIPITY kennel (Goldens) of Mrs. Kammenou and 2nd the GOLDEN CRESCENDO kennel (Goldens) of Mrs. Nikolopoulou. Best Progeny Group In Show was the female Pastille Of Glen Sheallag with her pups Serendipity Tom Boy, Serendipity Teddy Boy, Serendipity Takes Two To Tango, Serendipity Treasured Goddess Artemis, Serendipity Tinker Bell.
Mr. Kane for the Best Puppy Retriever In Show, selected the lovely black Labrador, Mallorn's Famous Grouse ( Mallorn's Arcturus X Fin.Ch.Mallorn's Fresh Flower), bred by Mrs. Ann Honkapirtti in Finland, and owned by Mr. Giannis Sikoutris.
Best Junior Retriever In Show was the Golden Retriever, Colbar Royal Heritage ( Ir.UK.Sh.Ch.Erinderry Diamond Edge Of Glenavis X UK.Sh.Ch.Colbar Royal Rhapsody), bred in Great Britain by Mrs. Barbara Keighley, and owned by Mrs. Kammenou.
Best Veteran Retriever In Show, was the 8 year old Golden Retriever, Woodsmoor Celtic Sea ( UK.Sh.Ch.Ashlyn Piper Of Canina X Canina Sea of Love At Woodsmoor), bred by Mrs. H.Hucklesby and owned by Miss Anneta Michael.
For the Best In Show Mr. Kane's choice was the Golden Retriever Gr.Ch.Serendipity April Shadow of Your Smile, with reserve the Labrador Retriever Gr.Ch.Agapi Of New Utopia Versus New Order and 3rd the Flat Coated Retriever BJW.WJW.BW.Lux.Sp.Nor.Bel.Gr.Ch.Sundew Shag Of Glen Sheallag.
After the Retriever show Mr.Kane judged the Specialty show of the Greek Spaniel Club, and he gave the BIS to the topwinning dog this year in Greece,the American Cocker Spaniel Gr.Ch.Moonlight Show Lucky Ticket ( Multi.Ch.The Directors Choice De La Vigie X Rus.Mol.Ch.Moonlight Show Marvellous Midnight), bred in Russia by Mrs. Ludmilla Mun and owned by Miss Evangelia Ntoulou. RBIS winner was the Cocker Spaniel Gr.Ch.Blue Night Of Kalliston ( Int.Gr.Bul.Lochdene Wise Choise X Int.Gr.Bul.Lochdene Betty Blue) , bred by Mr. & Mrs. Nikolakopoulos and also owned by Evangelia.
In the evening Mr. Kane gave an exceptional seminar on conformation of Retriever & Spaniel breeds.
